Canadian actor Beau Kazer of The Young and the Restless dies at age 63. What was the cause of his death?

The devastating news about Beau Kazer’s death has saddened many people. Kazer was famously known for his role as Brock Reynolds from the long-running CBS daytime soap opera, The Young and the Restless. Many people have been heartbroken after reading his demise headlines as they had watched him onscreen for so many years. His wife also came forward and spoke about his death. How did Beau Kazer die? What happened to him?

Beau Kazer was shockingly found dead on Dec 30, 2014, in his sleep. He was staying in Thousand Oaks, California when he passed away. According to his wife, Kazer was writing a book called Adventures in Honkerville at that time. He even nearly completed the book before he died.

“Sadly, he was almost done,” his wife said. “I will type up the remainder of the chapters and dedicate it to Beau Kazer, a truly loving human being, one I hope to meet again someday,” she added.

However, Beau’s cause of death is still unknown. It was his wife who confirmed that he might have died in his sleep. Although his wife did mention that he had had some health issues for two years straight.

Beau Kazer Bio: How did he begin his acting career?

Beau Kazer was a Canadian actor born on May 22, 1951. At the age of 63, he left the world. He was working primarily on television and was best known for his recurring role in the number one daytime soap opera The Young and the Restless.  He also received credit as Soap Opera Man.

Kazer studied drama and graduated in it at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, New york. His acting job began in 1974 with the fledgling CBS daytime drama The Young and the Restless. He played the character Brock Reynolds, who was the adult son of Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper).

Who is Beau Kazer’s wife?

Beau Kazer got married a total of two times in his life. His first wife’s name was Csilla Márki. They were together for 13 years (1977 - 1990). 

After divorce, he married Sharon Alkus. Her full name is Sharon Rae Lieurance Alkus and she is a photographer. Sharon was the one who came to the media to give details on her husband’s death. 

The two also owned a ranch home in central California.

Kazer’s appearance on Y&R continued since the character's introduction to the show in 1974. He repeatedly played the role of Brock from 1974 to 1980, then again from 1984 to 1986. He returned again in 1988 and stayed through 1992. Years later, he returned in 1999 before departing in 2003. In the later years, he made sporadic appearances, including a short return in November 2008 to deliver the eulogy at Katherine's funeral. He replayed the role for the last time temporarily in April 2009.

Besides Y&R, Kazer played roles in the ABC soap, General Hospital, as Dr. Bunny Wilson. He has also appeared in Taxi Driver, Hart to Hart, B.J. and the Bear, and Barnaby Jones.
