Ice-T (Fin Tutuola) talks leaving Law & Order: SVU

Ice-T joined Law & Order: SVU back in 2000, when the show was in its second season. He was originally supposed to stay on the crime drama for only four episodes. But the rapper turned actor has stayed on for more than 20 years. 

In November 2018, Ice-T, whose real name is Tracey Lauren Marrow, revealed if he would leave Law & Order: SVU. Don't worry fans! Fin Tutuola is not leaving the show anytime soon.

Well, there's one condition that would make the actor leave the show. Appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Ice-T revealed that he won't be leaving Law & Order: SVU until his onscreen partner, Mariska Hargitay, does.

Ice-T not leaving Law & Order: SVU 

"To be on a show that, you know, everyone likes each other. Everyone get along, 20 years is a long time. It's a very cool work environment. Mariska's the best... I'm happy and I'm not going anywhere until she's gone," said Ice-T, while appearing on The Tonight Show.

Mariska, who also appeared on the talk show with him, chimed in with, "We're sticking together! We [work well together]. It's been such a crazy, surprise journey and gift."

Fans were concerned for the fate of Fin Tutuola during the show's 19th season. Fin got a call around May telling him he had became a Sergeant. But he managed to get transferred back to by the end of the episode. 

Ice-T (Fin Tutuola) returning to Law & Order: SVU Season 21

Law & Order: SVU has already been renewed for another exciting season. Mariska Hargitay is on board as Olivia Benson and Ice-T is returning as Fin Tutuola. Co-stars Kelli Giddish, Peter Scanavino and Philip Winchester are also confirmed to return for Season 21.

As is tradition, Law & Order: SVU Season 21 will air in the third week of September in 2019.
