Natalie Manning was introduced as a heavily pregnant single mother who lost her husband in Afghanistan. Throughout the series, she has had a complicated relationship with her co-worker, Dr. Will Halstead. Their romance hasn't been a smooth one.
"Manstead" finally got engaged but Will's involvement with the FBI brought a lot of tension in the relationship. But Will getting arrested in the fall finale put a stop to their romance.

We saw a lot of Natalie Manning in the first half of Chicago Med season 4. The first nine episodes focused on furthering Natalie and Will's relationship and their upcoming wedding plans. But all of that went out the window when we say Will being driven away by the FBI.
