Jarrid Wilson was married to Julianne Wilson. She is originally from Franklin, Tennessee. The couple got married on April 29, 2013 and were settled in Southern California. Julianne works as a writer and editor and describes herself as a "stay-at-home-working mom." Julianne shared the news of her husband's death on Instagram on September 11, writing a heartbreaking caption.

"My loving, giving, kind-hearted, encouraging, handsome, hilarious, give the shirt of his back husband went to be with Jesus late last night. No more pain, my jerry, no more struggle. You are made complete and you are finally free. Suicide and depression fed you the worst lies, but you knew the truth of Jesus and I know you’re by his side right this very second," she wrote.

She shared a photo of him on a boat, smiling to the camera, enjoying his favorite hobby - fishing. 

"You are my forever and I will continue to let other people know of the hope in Jesus you found and spoke so boldly about .

Suicide doesn’t get the last word. I won’t let it. You always said “Hope Gets the last word. Jesus gets the last word”. Your life’s work has lead thousands to the feet of Jesus and your boldness to tell other about your struggle with anxiety and depression has helped so many other people feel like they weren’t alone. YOU WERE an ANTHEM OF HOPE to everyone, baby, and I’ll do my best to continue your legacy of love until my last breath," she continued.

Jarrid and Julianne have two beautiful children together. Their first son, Finch, was born on May 21, 2015 and their second son, Denham Rush, was born on December 5, 2016. Both Jarrid and Julianne's Instagram profiles are filled with photos of their adorable sons.

In a later post, Julianne shared that the family had gone to son Finch's baseball practice on Monday, September 9. She posted a video clip of Jarrid playing with their son. In the caption, she wrote that Jarrid passed away that night.  "I took this on Monday evening around 7:30 pm at our son’s baseball practice. By 11:45 that night, my sweet husband was in the presence of Jesus," reads the post.

What happened to Pastor Jarrid Wilson?

Pastor Jarrid Wilson died by suicide on Monday, September 9 at the age of 30. The California megachurch pastor frequently spoke about importance of mental health awareness and his own struggles with depression. 

Wilson was an associate pastor at the Harvest Christian Fellowship church since the past 18 months. The church's senior pastor, Greg Laurie, wrote in his tribute, “He was vibrant, positive, and was always serving and helping others."

Along with his wife, Jarrid Wilson is the founder of Anthem of Hope, an outreach program dedicated to help people dealing with depression. They founded Anthem of Hope in 2016 to "help equip the church with the resources needed to help better assist those struggling with depression, anxiety, self-harm, addiction and suicide.”

The day of his death, Jarrid wrote this on his Twitter: “Loving Jesus doesn’t always cure suicidal thoughts...But that doesn’t mean Jesus doesn’t offer us companionship and comfort. He ALWAYS does that.”
