Daniel is one of eight children of Joe Casey and Janie Casey. His father has served in the U.S. Marine Corps and has worked several years as a drill instructor. Born and raised in the foothills of the Ozarks, Daniel learned discipline, self-reliance, and faith from his father.

Daniel grew up becoming obsessed with blacksmithing. At just age 12, he crafted his first knife. Afterward, his passion paved his way to work with a world-renowned blacksmith, Hershel House, at just age 14. This opportunity helped him gain much-needed skills and experiences to become a professional blacksmith.

Needless to say, Daniel is now one of very few forgers who is sought after by people from all around the world. People are great admirers of his craft and unrivaled perfectionism. He has made a big name for himself in the forging world by becoming one of the very few full-time blacksmiths.

Daniel has a forging business called Casey Arms based in Romance, Arkansas. The arms shop is renowned for quality and custom craftsmanship and its products are highly coveted by discerning collectors and enthusiasts from across the USA and overseas.

Daniel Casey from ‘Iron and Fire’ to ‘Forged in Fire’

Daniel’s unique blend of passion, craftsmanship and perfection has gained the attention of many collectors. He gained mainstream attention in 2016 when he appeared in the show Iron & Fire. 

Iron & Fire premiered on the History Channel on April 11, 2016, and ended on May 16, 2016, after 12 episodes. The show followed Daniel, along with family and friends close to his heart, as he made a variety of historic weapons from raw steel and ancient timber. The show featured his father Joe, brother Charlie, nephew Jonathan Kulik, and close friend Bob Thatcher.

Daniel appeared on Forged in Fire on April 10, 2018’s episode called The Kabyle Flyssa. He appeared alongside other contestants like Collin Sage, Bob Hastings, and Jesse Adcock. He came second on the competition, losing to Collin but his fans still admired him for his impressive performance. He did amazing works in the first two rounds but failed in the third round. 

Who is Daniel Casey married to?

Daniel has been living in a cabin on the top of a mountain in Romance, Arkansas. He lives with his wife Chelsey and their five-year-old son Wesley. The family has various pets including, a variety of hound dogs, cats, and chicken.

Chelsey has not appeared any TV shows but their son Wesley was featured in the 11th episode of Iron and Fire.
