Anne Heche joined the Chicago PD Season 6 cast as Katherine Brennan in 2018. Her character was introduced in the Season 6 premiere and she will recur throughout the rest of Season 6. Read on for updates on Anne Heche's character Katherine Brennan in 2019.

Katherine Brennan joined the Season 6 cast in the first episode as a deputy superintendent leading the investigation into Sergeant Hank Voight shooting the man responsible for Alvin Olinsky's death in the season 5 finale. 

"I couldn't be more excited to be joining such a stellar group!," wrote Heche on Instagram on July 21, 2018.

Brennan and Voight spar as the former benches him during a drug investigation. As the episode progresses, Voight finds out that there's more to what meets the eye when it comes to Brennan. She takes him out of suspension and propositions that they team up to pick the right cases to uphold the reputation of the department. A new partnership is born.

In an interview with TV Insider, Heche described her character as "not a bad person, but very determined."

Besides Chicago PD, Anne Heche will be appearing in an upcoming drama film called The Best of Enemies. The movie, based on the book by Osha Gray Davidson, stars  Taraji P. Henson, Sam Rockwell, Babou Ceesay, Wes Bentley, Bruce McGill, John Gallaher Jr., and Nick Searcy. The Best of Enemies is scheduled to be released on April 5, 2019.

Heche is currently co-parenting her son, Atlas, with her ex-husband James Tupper. She was in a relationship with the Men in Trees star from 2008-2018. Heche was previously married to cameraman Coleman Laffoon. They were married from 2001 to 2009. Heche has a son, Homer, from this marriage.
