Did Netflix cancel The Ranch?

Indeed, it is time to say goodbye to Ashton Kutcher's Netflix comedy, The Ranch. The actor announced on June 4, 2019 that the series will end with this fourth season in 2020. Posting a photo of The Ranch cast members Dax Shepard, Sam Elliott and Elisha Cuthbert, he wrote, “@theranchnetflix is coming to an end, but not just yet. We’re excited to bring you the final 20 episodes — 10 streaming later this year (2019) on @netflix, and then 10 more in 2020."

Despite The Ranch's success on the platform, the show's standing with the audience took a hit when cast member Danny Masterson was fired from the show following multiple accusations of sexual assault. After Masterson's abrupt departure from The Ranch, Dax Shepard was brought in as Luke Matthews in his place. But you might agree that the show just hasn't been the same after Masterson left and has lost a lot of its humor from the previous seasons. 

Elisha Cuthbert also spoke out on social media on the series ending, writing, "One of the most enjoyable experiences of my professional career has come to a close. over the last 4 years we have completed filming all 80 live shows BUT ITS FAR FROM DONE FOR YOU!"

She continued, "I’m so grateful for all my time spent with these incredible actors and crew and I’m so thankful for all the awesome fans of the show! We hope y’all get a kick out of the last 20!"

When is The Ranch Part 8 coming?

The Ranch might be ending but it's far from over. There are still 10 episodes left to air, so The Ranch will be back in 2020.

Part 7 of The Ranch dropped on Netflix on September 13, 2019 while you can expect the final 10 episodes of Season 4 (Part 8) to come around in 2020.

Created by Don Reo and Jim Patterson, The Ranch first premiered on Netflix in 2016. When the sitcom ends, it will have aired a total of 80 episodes, making The Ranch Netflix's longest running multi-camera comedy, even surpassing Fuller House. 

What happened to Nick on The Ranch? Who Shot Nick?

Things took a turn for the worse in the season finale of The Ranch part 7, which ended with a murder. There was a lot of drama this season and the sitcom has definitely evolved into a show different from its earlier comedic format. 

Mary dealt with her drug addiction in Part 6 and Beau would have some issues with the return of Nick, Mary's no-good boyfriend. After Nick showed up, it all went downhill for the rest of the crew. The Part 7 didn't give us the answer to the question, "who shot Nick?" leaving us with a cliffhanger and craving for Part 8. 

Fans will be speculating about what happened to Nick on The Ranch because there was no confirmation that he was actually dead. What's more, there's no news regarding Josh Burrow's future on the show or whether returning to The Ranch Part 8.
