Drew Carey's ex fiancee, Amie Harwick, found dead

Dr. Amie Harwick was found dead of suspected murder on February 15, 2020. The 38-year-old family and sex therapist was found at her Hollywood Hills home. TMZ was the first to report her death. 

According to the news outlet, Harwick fell to her death from her third-story balcony after a struggle inside her home. She died at a hospital later.

Who is Amie Harwick's boyfriend Gareth Pursehouse?

Amie Harwick's former boyfriend, Gareth Pursehouse, is a suspect in the case. The 41-year-old was arrested and booked on Saturday afternoon. TMZ pointed out that Harwick had a restraining order against her ex boyfriend, which happened to end prior to her death. 

Harwick was afraid of Gareth after their break up but they had seen each other over the past few weeks. Surveillance camera evidence from her home revealed that a white male dressed in black entered into Harwick's home and Harwick fell from the balcony after a struggle inside.

The ex boyfriend, Gareth Pursehouse, was arrested in on Saturday afternoon and taken to the Los Angeles County Jail. His bail has been posted at $2 million.

Amie Harwick was engaged to Drew Carey

Dr. Amie Harwick met Drew Carey in 2017 at a house party in Los Angeles. Dating rumors began after the Price Is Right host posted a photo with her later that year.

The former couple got engaged on February 1, 2018, but their relationship would only last a few more months. It was revealed that the couple had separated in November that year. The break up was amicable, according to Carey's representatives.

Who was Amie Harwick?

Amie Harwick was a licensed marriage, family and sex therapist. She had a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology degree from California Polytechnic University and a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.

She also holds a Doctorate from the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality. Harwick was a published author. Her book, The New Sex Bible for Women: The Complete Guide to Sexual Self-Awareness and Intimacy, was published in 2014.
