Frances Watson was born in Los Angeles. She grew up in the eastern edge of the county, where she grew her fondness for Dodgers. She is currently living in the Midwest.

Before starting off on her career journey, Frances went to California State University Fullerton in Fullerton. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from this university. 

Frances has worked with various television stations like KOSA-TV in Odessa, Texas, KWQC-TV in Davenport, Iowa, WTVG-TV in Toledo, Ohio, and KEPR News in Pasco, Washington. She worked as a multi-media journalist and anchor for KEPR News, During this time, she covered crime and court-room stories from different counties like Benton, Franklin, Walla Walla, and Umatilla. 

She moved to Springfield from the Northwest in March of 2015 to join the KSPR News team. She has since been working as a reporter and weekend anchor.
