American docudrama, Moonshiners, has brought several moonshiners in the spotlight. Interestingly, the show has also brought fame to a pet named Cutie Pie. She is the fur baby of Moonshiners star Josh Owens who has been a part of the show since the second season. Cutie Pie has become a star pet for appearing on Moonshiners and is famous for her cool way of riding Owens’ bike. A few years back, Cutie Pie faced an emergency medical crisis. Cutie Pie was bitten by a snake in 2017

In 2017, Cutie Pie went missing from multiple episodes, which raised questions among her fans about her health condition. Fans were worried that she was no longer. Fortunately, nothing like that had happened.

However, it turned out that Cutie Pie was in a near-death condition after being bitten by a snake. Reportedly, Cutie Pie and Josh Owens were exploring a possible still site when the incident took place. 

Owens rushed Cutie Pie to the nearest veterinary center as soon as possible and luckily she was saved. Speaking of the scary experience, Owens said that the way she's breathing was freaking him the most. He also said that Cutie Pie was stiff as a board and he feared that she would have a heart attack. 

Luckily, Cutie Pie reached the hospital in time and she was saved. She has now made a full recovery.

This was not the first time that Cutie Pie faced a near-death situation. Back in 2013, she was stung by a bee that had Owens worried about her life. It’s unclear if she sought medical treatment or not but Owens did pull the stinger from her paw. 

Reports say there might be one more incident that risked Cutie Pie’s life. In March 2018, Josh got in a major motorcycle accident, as a result of which he broke his nose and ribs. He also lost already amputated finger and his lung was punctured too. Many fans feared that Cutie Pie was with him when the accident took place as the two are always together wherever they go.

It has not been confirmed but we believe she was not as she looked completely fine in the photos that were posted on social media around that time.

Cutie Pie has been a staple member of Discovery Channel’s hit series, Moonshiners. It is not known when she was born as she was adopted from a local kill shelter. 

To Owens, Cutie Pie is not just a pet he adopted but the greatest friend of all time. Josh says Cutie Pie is his sidekick. “Cutie Pie she's always there for me. She's definitely my sidekick. If people were more like dogs, the world would be a better place," he gushed.

Recalling the moment when Cutie Pie first rode on his bike, Owens said, “She jumped right on up the Harley and stood right up on the tank just like she belonged there. And when we got to the first curb she kind of leaned into the curve and I knew it was meant to be. So we rode all day that day… It was the funniest thing ever."
