CBS 21 reporter Jessie McDonough is in the spotlight after her long-time boyfriend Danny Caraveo proposed to her on live television. Danny popped the question to Jessie on Wednesday, January 22, during the noon newscast and luckily, she said yes. Congratulations Jessie and Danny!

Who is Jessie McDonough’s boyfriend, Danny Caraveo?

Jessie’s boyfriend Danny Caraveo gave Jessie and CBS 21 viewers a big surprise by proposing the morning news anchor on live noontime newscast.

Her boyfriend, Danny, was fully prepared to make this day the most memorable one in their life. Jessie knew something big was about to take place the moment Danny walked in the set with a flower bouquet in his hand.

“Oh my gosh, I’m panicking,” she said, as he presented her with the bouquet.

Danny went on to propose her saying, “My time in Austin and my time being here definitely made one thing clear, that I love you," he said. “You mean a lot and I definitely don’t want to be apart again. With that being said, Jessie McDonough will you marry me?”

“Oh my gosh, I did not expect this,” Jessie gushed and finally said “YES” to her boyfriend.

Jessie announced the news on her social media handles by sharing a series of pictures of her with her fiancé flaunting her engagement ring.

On Instagram, she wrote, “Looking forward to the next 100 years with my fiancé 💍💍💍@danny_caraveo ❤️❤️❤️”

CBS 21 took to Twitter to share the video of Danny proposing to Jessie and congratulated them.

Jessie took a five-day-long break from her work to celebrate their engagement with Danny’s family, who came all the way from El Paso, Texas.

Back in October 2019, as well, Danny’s father, Daniel Caraveo, Sr., and mother, Mary Caraveo, had paid a visit to them in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. During that time, they had spent some time with Jessie’s parents. Jessie had shared these cute pictures on Instagram afterward.

A native of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Jessie has been working from Harrisburg for Sinclair Broadcast Group since September 2018. Prior to this, she was working from El Paso, Texas. There, she worked as a morning news anchor and noon producer from July 2015 to August 2018.

It was probably during this time that Jessie and Danny began dating each other. Later, after Jessie moved to Harrisburg, Danny followed her there and they lived together.

Jessie and Danny do not have any children as of now but they sure are proud to be parents to their furry-babies - Theo Macveo and Izzy Macveo.

As their recent Twitter post suggests, the couple does seem to have plans of having a baby too. Jessie shared this picture of her and Danny with Danny’s brother Fabian and his partner Katie Arnold and wrote, “Can’t wait for ours kids to be cousins!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️”
