Vanessa Lucido is the CEO and owner of drilling business, ROC Equipment but fans of The Curse of Oak Island know that she's so much more. She wears many hats as she is also a mother, founder of a successful children's toy company and a passionate horse rider. She became the CEO of ROC Equipment at age 26.
Before running her own company, she learned the ropes of the drilling business at her father's company, Becho Inc. She worked at the company alongside her two brothers. The first sibling to graduate college was to take over the business, which Vanessa did.
Vanessa's father, Lou Lucido, started Becho Inc. in 1979 with $300. It was Lou Lucido who founded the now multimillion dollar company, ROC Equipment. Vanessa took over ROC Equipment in 2012 after her father tragically passed away after an accident at work Prior to this, she worked as a safety director at Becho Inc. from 2008 to 2012.
Vanessa has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Utah, where she studied Humanities, Communication and Marketing. She received her MBA from the university in 2016.

Vanessa has been helping brothers Rick and Marty Lagina excavate borehole H8 in the sixth season of The Curse of Oak Island on History Channel.
The oscillator had to be shutdown because the ground beneath was caving in. After a few hours, the sinkhole grew to 11 feet and made the operation unstable for Vanessa and her crew. The dig had to be put on hold until an engineer could evaluate the site for safety.
