Ben Hardy is an English actor,  renowned for his role as Peter Beale on the BBC soap, EastEnders. The Bournemouth, Dorset native recently caught the attention of worldwide audience after portraying drummer Roger Taylor in the biographical film, Bohemian Rhapsody.

Ben was born on January 2, 1991, in Bournemouth. He grew up in Sherborne, where he attended Sherborne Abbey Primary School. He later went to the Gryphon School. He earned his first acting experience as a student of Gryphon when he starred as Sergeant Francis Troy in a school film adaptation of Thomas Hardy's novel, Far from the Madding Crowd.

Ben is dating a beautiful woman named Katriona Perret for quite a long time now. However, the 27-year-old has shared very little details about his girlfriend. One thing that Ben has shared about her is that he looks forward to turning her into his wife. The actor told in an interview with OK! last year that he can see them tying the knot. But he also mentioned that he is no rush.

Ben Hardy's Career Journey from EastEnders to Bohemian Rhapsody

Ben's professional acting career began in 2012 when he portrayed the role of Arthur Wellesley in the stage play, The Judas Kiss. He made his small screen debut the same year by appearing as a reporter in one of the episodes of the BBC period drama, Call the Midwife.

Ben got his break in the industry in 2013 when he landed the role of Peter Beale in another BBC show, EastEnders. He made his debut on the show on June 7, 2013, as the sixth actor to portray the role. He made his final appearance on the show on February 24, 2015. 

In 2017, he appeared in an episode of the Comedy Central show, Drunk History. And this year, he appeared in yet another BBC show called The Woman in White.

Talking about his film career, his debut film is 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse where he appeared in the famous role as Warren Worthington III/Archangel. He was nominated for a Kid's Choice Award in 2017 for this role.

In 2017, he appeared in two movies, Mary Shelley and Only the Brave. Then in 2018, he got the much-needed break of his career when he starred as drummer Roger Taylor in Bohemian Rhapsody, a biographical movie about the British rock band, Queen. The critically acclaimed role has garnered Ben a nomination for 2019's Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

It has been confirmed that Ben has landed a role in an upcoming movie called Six Underground. The movie is slated to release in 2019 but his role in the film has not been announced yet.
