According to the sources,  ‘When Calls the Heart’ has already started filming for Season 9. The shooting began on July 21, 2021. The show will have a total of twelve episodes. 

The show’s lead actress, Erin Krakow (Elizabeth Thatcher) posted a selfie on July 12 on her Instagram as she heads up to Vancouver, Canada where the show is getting filmed.

What to expect in ‘When Calls the Heart’ Season 9?

Over the first eight seasons, we saw Elizabeth fall in love, get married, give birth to a baby boy, and become a widow. Then after adjusting to life as a single parent and being courted by two new suitors Lucas Bouchard and Nathan Grant, at the end of Season 8, we saw her pick Lucas (Chris McNally). So we will definitely see more of Elizabeth and McNally in the upcoming season.
