Leigh Moody runs Leigh's Lost and Found Facebook page
The self proclaimed "crazy animal lady" is the founder of Leigh's Lost and Found, a Facebook page dedicated to feature lost dogs and find them a loving home.
She created the franchise in March 5, 2012 and partners with the Animal Control shelter in Springfield/Greene County in Ozark, Missouri. A passionate animal advocate, Moody also spends a lot of her time as a volunteer at charities working to reunite or relocate lost and abandoned animal in the community.
Leigh Moody has two rescue dogs
You can find a few animals at the home of KSPR News main anchor, Leigh Moody. She takes care of a large brood at her home.
She is a dog mom to two dogs, named Spaulding and Pricilla, both of whom are rescues. As a matter of fact, she met one of her dogs through her own page.
You can find plenty of photos of the dogs on Moody's official Instagram page. Moody also has two rescue cats and a guinea pig. One of her cats, Kismet, was a feral that she found living behind her station in 2015. Her other cat, Louie, is much older than Kismet. Moody's mom, Maureen Moody, shares her love for dogs.
KSPR News anchor Leigh Moody Bio
Leigh Moody was born on February 6, 1971, to parents Phil and Maureen Moody. Her father was in the Air Force so she grew up all over the country, spending most of her early childhood in the Tampa Bay area.
Moody attended the University of Central Florida, from where she has a degree in Broadcast Journalism. After college, she joined the reporting staff at Orlando based WKMG-TV. Later she became the weekend anchor at WCSC-TV in Charleston, South Carolina. She has also worked at WEYI-TV in Flint, Michigan and Bay News 9 in Tampa, Florida.
She anchored Bay News 9 for almost ten years before moving to the Ozarks. She went on to become the main anchor at KSPR News in December of 2010 and currently anchors the news every weeknight at 4, 6 and 10.
Moody has won several awards for her exemplary career in broadcast journalism. As part of the KSPR team she won the Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Newscast in the Nation.

Leigh Moody is married, who is her husband?
If you follow Leigh Moody on Facebook, the you know that she is currently married to her husband, Nick Sanders. Married for over two decades, Moody and her husband are quite the couple. They love to travel together, go for a swim, and pose for Facebook photos.
The couple tied the knot on October 2, 1999. Sanders is a native of Chicago, Illinois and an Ohio University graduate. He currently works as a Senior Marketing Consultant at Nexstar Media Group in Springfield. Moody and Sanders don't have any children, probably because they have their hands full with their dogs and cats!
