Katrina Szish Wiki/Bio: Age, Parents, Education

Katrina was born in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, to Dr. Ronald C. Szish and Maureen Szish. She is the only child of the couple. Katrina has shared on her Instagram handle that her parents met for the first time in 1959. Mr. and Mrs. Szish got married 8 years later in 1967 and celebrated their 50th years as husband and wife in July of 2017. 

Raised in her hometown, Katrina graduated from Wyomissing High School in 1990. Her impressive grades got her accepted into the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. A year later, she took a year off from the college to complete her internship program with CNN’s Political Investigation Unit in Washington, DC. However, after completing her internship, she went on to join Harvard University from where she graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in English and American Literature and Language. 

Talking of Katrina’s age, the TV presenter has not revealed her age or date of birth so far. However, her social media shows that she celebrates her birthday on March 19.

When Katrina was in high school, she never imagined that she would tie the knot with Mark, her high school friend. The two were living entirely different lives in different states when one day in April 2014 Mark sent an email to Katrina. It was only after that the two met each other for the first time in twenty-four years. Mark had come to Katrina’s hometown for the special reunion. 

Although the two had no romantic motives behind the reunion, they found each other drawn towards each other. “Within two weeks, we were making long-term plans. It just didn’t make sense to wait too long to get married,” Katrina said in an interview with Wedding Style Magazine.

Mark proposed to Katrina in July at the Great Lawn in Central Park. And only three months afterward, the two tied the knot. The wedding was held in Rehoboth Beach in Delaware, Katrina’s favorite destination as a child. The reception was held in nearby Indian River Marina. 

“We never questioned the choices we made. We are content in knowing that with love all things are possible,” said Katrina. 

Mark Korczykowski is a biomedical engineer. He graduated with a master’s degree in Biotechnology and Biomedical Engineering in 2009. He also has a master’s degree in Psychology from Boston University (2000). He is the founder and CEO of Hura Imaging. 

Katrina and Mark do not have any kid but they love to call themselves parents of their cute canine babies. The couple is raising two fur babies, Tallulah and Wylie, as of late as one of their three dogs, Wilhelmina, passed away in December 2016. Tallulah and Wylie have their own Instagram handle as well while Wilhelmina’s Instagram is no longer available.
