After thirteen successful seasons of Street Outlaws, Pilgrims Studio (a media company behind hit series like American Chopper, Misfit Garage, Fast N’ Loud, among others) produced a brand new mini-series on Discovery Channel this January; Fastest In America. The reality show premiered on January 20, 2020, where eight of the fastest drag-racing teams in America are competing for a jaw-dropping reward of $100,000. The amount is claimed to be the highest payout in street racing history.

The first official spin-off to Street Outlaws, Fastest in America promises to “recreate the magic of the original, through its innovative concept.” Jonathan Day, aka JJ Da Boss, the racing master on the show has handpicked all the teams who will be competing with each other to prove they are the most deserving of the grand prize.

JJ Da Boss has picked the teams ranging from South Carolina, Texas, St. Louis, Northeast, Kentucky, NOLA, Detroit and Mississippi. Representing Northeast are eight racers, including Chris Rankin. Don’t worry if you don’t know much about Chris Rankin because we got you covered in this article with all the details you need to know about him.

Who is JJ Da Boss' money girl Mallory Gulley from Street Outlaws cast? Who is she dating in 2020?

Chris Rankin Short Bio: Age, Family, Wife, and Children

The owner of Rankin’s Relic “The Relic”, Chris is a 39-year-old street racer. His silver car is often mistaken as a Mazda RX-7, a Toyota Supra or a Porsche 944. But in reality, it is a Chrysler Conquest, a Mitsubishi Starion.

Chris was born on February 26, 1980. He is turning 40 years old on his birthday this year. Born into a family of a drag racer, Chris grew up learning about cars. His grandfather was a drag racer, who spent most of the time at Capitol Raceway.

Chris discovered his love for cars and engines at a very young age. He was only 16 when he bought his first car. It was a 1987 Mitsubishi Starion with 187,000 miles on it. He began improving the mechanism of the car before even having a driving license. While doing the daily repairs on the ‘87 Starion Chris developed all the skills of a mechanic.

With the help of his close friends, Chris worked extensively on his car to make it more powerful. The group had to figure out plans as the Conquest/Starion does not have much lifeblood in the racing world or aftermarket support.

On December 27, 2015, Chris bought a 1987 Chrysler Conquest from a man named Stan. He knew that his wife, Amie Rankin, would not be so keen on the idea. So, he convinced Amie that is he bought this car, he would be one of the finest No Prep street racers in the US.

So far, Chris and The Relic have won some big events like the Land of the Hurricane No Prep at Colonial Beach and the NY Nutty Money 10K big tire No Prep. They also held the crown at King of Coastal in Ocean City, Maryland, for a brief time. Most importantly, The Relic is currently the fastest Conquest in the US.

Talking of his personal life, Chris Rankin is happily married to his wife Amie. He has a sweet family of six, including their three sons and a furry member. Here's a family picture.
