Adam Newman returning to Young and the Restless

Young and the Restless is bringing back a beloved character to Genoa City. Fan favorite Adam Newman is heading back to the show in 2019. The character was presumed dead in a cabin explosion in 2016. His wife, Chelsea Newman, continued to appear until 2018 but left left town later. 

Chelsea, played by Melissa Claire Egan, will also be returning alongside Adam. It makes sense since she has to be involved in some way with Adam returning from the dead. Fans will remember that it was Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) who caused the explosion that "killed" Adam. Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) left town with Chloe and their child after this revelation.

We now know that Greg Rikaart will be reprising his role on Young and the Restless. It's not yet known if Elizabeth Hendrickson is also returning since she is currently busy playing Margaux Dawson on General Hospital.

Who plays Adam Newman on Young and the Restless?

Mark Grossman will be portraying Adam Newman when the character returns on May 13, 2019. Adam Newman was previously portrayed by Justin Hartley, Michael Muhney, and Chris Engen.

Justin Hartley was the last actor to portray Adam. He left Young and the Restless in 2016 after he landed a role in the NBC series, This is Us. Muhney portrayed Adam Newman on the show from 2009 to 2014. He was abruptly let go from the show.

Grossman has been acting professionally since 2012. He is known for his roles in Hustle and Famous In Love. He played Shane in the second season of Freeform’s Famous In Love.
