Who killed Delia Abbott on Young and the Restless?

Cordelia “Delia” Abbott was the daughter of Billy Abbott and Chloe Mitchell. She was born on screen on February 16, 2006, although it was February 16, 2009, in real life. 

As an infant, the character was portrayed by a set of triplets Riley, Olivia, and Isabelle Jones. Later, twins Alix and Madeline Dubois played the role of toddler Delia. The character was last played by Sophie Pollono.

Delia was a sickly child. She was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia, which required her bone marrow transplant to survive. Her father became the donor and saved her life in 2011.

In 2013’s fall, Delia was cast as the Wicked Witch of the West in her school’s production of The Wizard of Oz. On their way back home, while Billy was driving, they stopped for ice cream. While Billy was inside the store, Delia opened the car door to let Dash (their puppy) out for peeing. 

Dash ran onto the highway and Delia followed her puppy and found it behind the bushes. Suddenly, Dash got loose and ran in front of a car Adam Newman was driving. Adam swerved to protect the dog and crashed into the bushes, unknowingly hitting the little girl crouching behind the bushes in all black witch costume. Adam got out of the car but could not figure out what he had hit.

After Billy found his daughter, she was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, Delia could not be saved. 

Delia’s cornea was donated to Adam’s son, Connor, making Chloe obsessed with the young boy. In 2015, on the date of Delia’s death, her family planted a tree in Chancellor Park in her honor.

After exiting Young and the Restless, Pollono has not joined any daytime soap. Instead, she is now a Disney star.

She is currently appearing as one of the lead characters on Disney Channel’s comedy miniseries, Fast Layne, which premiered on February 15 this year. She plays the role of Layne Reed, a brilliant girl who’s running for school president. She is starring alongside other child actors like Sofia Rosinsky, Brandon Rossel and Winslow Fegley. 

Besides, she also appeared in an episode of Legendary (Disney Channel Stars) in 2018.

The beautiful star, who celebrated her 14th birthday last December, is currently in 8th grade.
