Who is Steven Wetherbee?

Steven Wetherbee is a music producer based in San Diego. He is the founder and owner of Golden Tracks Studio, a recording studio situated outside San Diego, California. 

On his official website, which has since been taken down, it says he has produced music for 80s bands such as Rush, Kansas, Santana, Chicago and others. Steven and Lia have been working together since at least 2012, when Lia appeared in a music video produced by Wetherbee. She was only 15 then.

Much of Wetherbee's information has been removed from the internet after Lia's disturbing livestream. Lia Marie Johnson released a single called Moonflower on November 23, 2019 and credited Wetherbee as a producer.

Following her YouTube fame, Lia has been working on her music career. Her debut single, Moment Like You, was released in January 2015. Songs like DNA, Cold Heart Killer, Champagne, and Moonflower followed later. In 2019, she accumulated 16.8 million streams on Spotify.

On January 2, 2020, Lia Marie Johnson went live on Instagram while appearing to be under the influence. She was in a dark room, likely to be a studio, and seemed to be talking to someone off-camera.

This isn't her first bizarre livestream. Fans have been worried about Lia Marie Johnson's erratic behaviors for several months. But this is the first time someone else appeared with her and the contents of the video were alarming, to say the least. Lia and her producer seemed to be kissing at some point during the live.

In the live, a man can be heard saying, "Are you on Instagram? No, you’re not — you can’t be on Instagram. Are you really on Instagram? Because that would be bad." Lia ends the livestream shortly after that but not before the man says, "Lia, I need this not to go out because it will effect my work. Please turn it off."

Some worried fans called the cops and Lia later revealed that she was detained and handcuffed.
