What happened to Cody on When Calls the Heart?
When Calls the Heart returned to the Hallmark Channel in May 2019 after a long hiatus. After a long wait, Hearties finally got a new episode on May 5. Fans were anxious to see how the show would explain the exit of series regular Lori Loughlin, who plays Abigail Stanton, after she was fired from Hallmark Channel for her involvement in the college admissions scandal.
Well, the writers wasted no time in solving that mystery. At the beginning of episode 4, titled Heart of a Mountie, we hear Elizabeth's voice as she's writing in her journal that Abigail and her adopted son, Cody, have left town to take care of her mother who has fallen sick.
Who plays Cody on When Calls the Heart?
Actor Carter Ryan Evancic plays Cody on When Calls the Heart. Here is a short bio on the actor: Born on September 8, 2006 in Vancouver, Canada, the young actor began his professional acting career by starring in commercials. He was auditioning for ads since an early age of 8 months old! When he was seven, he began his career in television acting.
In 2015, he had a starring role in the movie Her Infidelity, which also starred his WCTH co-star Loretta Walsh. Carter joined the cast of When Calls the Heart in the third season. Cody was introduced as a runaway, who along with his sister, escape foster care after their parents passed away. He ends up living with Abigail while his sister goes to live with an aunt.
